Dr. Michael C. Stewart, DC, CCSP
Wellness Director

Dr. Stewart graduated from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1995 with a doctorate in chiropractic after completing his undergraduate work in biology from Monmouth University and California State University at Northridge. While in school, he played Division One baseball, was part of two national honor societies, on the national dean’s list, and served as the student body president. Dr. Stewart began practicing in January 1996 after passing his national and state exams.

As a chiropractor specializing in sports injuries and family practice, Dr. Stewart has been restoring people’s health with chiropractic for many years. He opened his Glen Rock, NJ practice in November 1999. His patients range in age from three months to ninety-six years old. Although most of his patients come in for wellness chiropractic adjustments, Dr. Stewart also treats pain associated with the spine, nerves, muscles, and joints, as well as vision problems, allergies, headaches, ear infections, colic and sleep disorders in babies, and shingles.

Dr. Stewart holds a specialty certification in the diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries, allowing him the opportunity to work with high school, college, or professional sports teams as a team chiropractor. He continues to attend professional seminars on a regular basis to fine-tune his chiropractic skills and knowledge.

Dr. Stewart is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, Association of New Jersey Chiropractors, and the ANJC Sports Council. Locally, he is the Vice President of the Glen Rock Chamber of Commerce, the Vice President of the Glen Rock/Ridgewood LeTip International networking group, and is the director of the Baseball Boot Camp youth instructional clinics for Glen Rock, NJ. He looks forward to each and every day he can help his community be more educated about their health.

Maureen Huntley, CHHC, AADP
Holistic Health Counselor

Maureen Huntley is a Glen Rock resident. As a mother of four and theater director who has worked with thousands of children, Maureen sees a real need to get families and children healthy. She believes there is a tremendous need to get off junk food, ingested body, mind and spirit. Maureen feels passionate about changing the way children treat themselves by creating awareness with what is ingested: food and knowledge.

Maureen holds her BFA from DePaul University in Chicago and is a graduate of the Institute of Integrated Nutrition, The Teachers College at Columbia University and is a member of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners in Holistic Health Counseling. She is certified in EFT, Reflexology, and Reiki. Maureen can be heard on HD 3 radio and on www.TheFamilyBalancingAct.com live on Tuesday mornings at 10am.

As a wife and mother, the health of Maureen's family is a top priority. Knowing that it's not always easy by any means, but it's the most rewarding experience of her life. Being a mom and life partner is most certainly a balancing act. It's a life long process with attention to the journey that makes it work.

Sandy Richard, MS, CA
Acupuncturist

Sandy Richard has been practicing Acupuncture for nearly 10 years. Her career highlights include:

  • On staff for the past 6 years at a premier local wellness center
  • Member, Holistic Practice Council, The Valley Hospital, for the past 5 years
  • On staff for 4 years at the Institute of Integrated Health and Wellness, an affiliate of Jersey Shore University Medical Center and the Meridian Health System
  • On staff for 3 years at The Complementary Medicine Center at the former Pascack Valley Hospital
  • Served for 5 years as a Test Examiner for the N.J. Board of Medical Examiners
  • Has conducted acupuncture demonstrations for The Today Show, Channel 10 News, and Channel 12 News
  • After receiving her Master of Science degree in Acupuncture from Tri-State College, Sandy went on to become nationally board certified (NCCAOM), certified to practice in the State of New Jersey, and licensed to practice in the State of New York. She’s also a member of the New Jersey Association for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NJAAOM).

    Sandy regularly pursues continuing education opportunities in order to expand her repertoire of treatment options and to remain current with the latest developments in her field. Her treatments are individually tailored to meet the needs of each patient and each visit. She continues to marvel at Acupuncture’s effectiveness in prodding the body to access its own innate healing abilities.

    Ramon Jacinto, CMT
    Massage Therapist

    Ramon Jacinto, CMT- Ramon Jacinto, CMT graduated from the Helma Institute of Massage Therapy in 2003. For 6 years he has performed massage techniques such as Swedish, Deep Tissue, and the elusive Thai Massage. Thai Massage is a specialized technique that combines stretching, breathing, and massage to improve muscle function and promote relaxation. From 2007 to 2008 Ramon managed the massage department at a spa in Pennsylvania. Through testimonials Ramon is considered to be one of the best massage therapists in Bergen County.

    Erica Mueller Panek, NCTMB
    Massage Therapist

    Erica Mueller-Panek graduated from Healing Hands Institute in 1997. After working in the field for 2 years as a state certified massage therapist, and completing a medical massage program she became nationally certified (NCTMB) in 1999. Erica has worked in health clubs, corporate offices, yoga centers and spa settings performing a wide range of therapeutic services such as Swedish Massage, Sports Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Pre-Natal Massage, Massage for seniors, Trigger Point Therapy and Reflexology. Committed to professional development and the diverse needs of her clients Erica became certified in Reiki I and II, and is currently studying other forms of energy mapping and balancing which helps to strengthen the body’s natural energy field. Sessions have lead to client “cause and effect” awareness resulting in emotional relief from stress and a feeling of well-being. To date Erica has been certified as a Spa Therapist through the Biotone Corporation. As a result, a wide variety of skin care techniques such as exfoliation, clay, seaweed and mud masks, organic facials and aromatherapy are offered at The Center for Wellness and Rehabilitation.
